RACE REPORT FOR 2010 - What a year it's been!
By Brad Bernstein -
Oct 2010

What a year, and the last 3 weeks have been an amazing whirl wind of events. This extended trip started with a trip to Northern California to work with one of my new A C N teams. The following week we had the A C N – US Racetronics – Purpose Driven race car on display at the Orange County Auto Show at the Anaheim Convention Center. We were invited there by one of the promoters of the show - more below.  Immediately after the show, we loaded the race car in its trailer, and headed off to Miller Motorsports Park just outside of Salt Lake City Utah. We were filmed on the racetrack as part of a video production for a major tire manufacturer - more below. Then we headed back home, with just enough time to unpack and repack to head back to Buttonwillow the very next day for our last race of the season - more below.

ANAHEIM INTERNATIONAL CAR SHOW

The 2011-Model O.C. Auto Show kicked off the Auto-Show Season with hundreds of new cars, crossovers, exotics and more. This automotive extravaganza featured SEMA concept cars, pre-production models, rides and drives, and the latest alternative-fuel vehicles, including the 2011 Chevrolet volt. Additionally, the show had high-energy entertainment with DJs spinning music, bikini contests, mixed-martial-arts demonstrations and more. And we were there in the middle of it all. Read More

SHOOTING A COMMERCIAL IN SLC

I drove the car around the track lap after lap (pretty cool) and for the video, they needed me to drive well past sunset. Wow!!! A big time race track, in a fast and powerful formula car, but in the dark! With no headlights!!! It was interesting to say the least. It was a great experience, and one that I had not expected. It was however a very long day as we arrived at the track at 7am and did not leave until almost 9pm.

BUTTONWILLOW RACE RESULTS

We wanted to finish on a high note, and we were very well prepared. I have actually faced some tough competition this year, and although the entry list was smaller than expected, there were a few very fast cars with experienced drivers. But we knew that if we put our proper efforts into this event, the results should be good. There are no guarantees, anything can happen in racing when you go as fast as we do, but we expected to do well. And well we did. Read More
